Starting in January 2008 the South Coast Air Quality Management District has started implementing rules concerning fountain solutions, roller wash and blanket wash.

I was wondering what Fogra certified chemistry are available that meet these new rules.

Thank you

Pat:
Why don't you briefly list the SCAQMD (South Coast Air Quality Management District) rules for those materials, so someone from FOGRA can comment? Less than 100 g/liter VOC, that it?

Hi John

I suggest getting in touch with Mr. Gerry Benetto at PIASC.

Printing Industries Association of Southern California.

Mr. Benetto is their specialist in Southern California concerning issues with rules and regulations about pressroom chemistry.

The web address is www.piasc.org.

Thank you

Re: Southern California and chemistry?

Pat,

I have been working hard to find a good product for Roller and Blanket wash and now have some samples to give away and have had very promising results in S. Cal and elsewhere with these no VOC products. I have Printers in S.Cal currently using these products and they will be happy to provide feedback as well. If anyone wants to try it let me know, I'll forward a sample to you.

Best wishes,

Erick
