Toner refill kits?

Has anyone ever used a toner refill kit before? Are they garbage or actually practical?

It really depends on the quality of the components they used in the toner.
If nothing else you'll need to recalibrate due to the difference in color pigment used.

I've used a kit from Amazon for a desktop printer. It worked fine, but it can't be used more than twice on the same cartridge.

I've heard that some manufacturers put grit in their cartridges, which only comes out if the cartridge is empty. It's to keep people from trying to refill them. If you're going to try this, just make sure your vendor has been in business for a while and has good rating. Check with the BBB.
