Vinyl, or polyvinyl chloride (PVC), is a common banner material, with disposal problems & the after affects of highly-polluting, carcinogenic dioxines, which accumulate & pollute groundwater.

Hop-Syn synthetic paper offers an interesting alternative to vinyl, featuring a similar look and feel, but without the environmental damage–and it’s 100% recyclable–under recycling code #5. It’s available in a variety of options, from backlit or block-out window posters to weather-resistant displays and banners. They are temperature and extra-tear resistant, and available for two-sided printing of P-O-P signs and displays.

Hop-Syn’s TO is a high-opacity paper for two-sided printing that can be sewn or grommeted, is tear-resistant, with UV resistance properties for up to 1-year outdoors, without yellowing. Their XT grade paper is extra tear-resistant, with bright opacity (94%)–ideal for use in demanding environmental conditions–and offering excellent printability

I've never heard about this banner material. The description looks good, but what about the price? Is it expensive or not?
