The ubiquitous blister packs—that hang on holders to display consumer products—can now be made totally of paperboard, providing 2 major benefits:
  • Reduced environmental impact,
  • Less consumer rage and self-injury.
Moltzaus, a Norwegian converter, has designed Cefapac—an award winner—that improves the pack’s environmental performance & its openability, and has already won awards.

Swix ski wax, for example, is currently packing some of its waxes in Cefapacs and plans to expand their trial. Other products already on the market are dressings for wounds and non-prescription medicines. Cefapac has also been warmly praised by representatives of the Swedish & Norwegian Rheumatism Associations for its ability to open easily.

Maybe I'm missing something. It just looks like a paper/carton box. Maybe a tougher box? But still just a box.
