KBA North America, Inc. is in search of top technical talent in the printing industry to join us as a Remote Support Electrical Engineer in our Electrical Services/Remote Maintenance Department in our Dallas Office. Ideal candidates will have worked in the field within the printing industry for another Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or as an Independent Contractor or worked in-house in electrical maintenance for a commercial printer, packager, or other related company within the printing industry. Our Remote Support Electrical Engineers are our subject matter experts for electrical services and will have the following:
  • Opportunity to work directly with customers and field technicians providing technical resources, support, and solutions;
  • Receive in-depth hands-on training from the field as well as technical training from our factory in Germany;
  • Must have a love for troubleshooting!!!
Qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of 6 years of related work experience in the printing industry. May consider candidates with an Associate's Degree or other related technical certifications with a minimum of 8 years of related work experience in the printing industry. Extensive work experience may be substituted for degree although degree is desired.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex, technical processes and procedures to others;
  • Experience with machine control, programmable logic controller (PLC) systems, and drive controls.
  • Significant programming and troubleshooting experience on various computer programming languages
  • Background or knowledge of printing equipment, processes, and industry preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
This job will require frequent travel in the United States for the first 12 to 18 months to train on the equipment and some travel to Germany for training. Once the initial training is completed, job will require occasional travel (under 25%).
