Acrobat Screening Method

Maybe this has been asked before, maybe this is one of those days I think myself into circles

Im using Acrobat Pro.8 to print PDF's to a digital xerox printer.

When i go file > print > advanced and look under output my frequency is at 60, screening method is 'default screen' and cannot be changed to anything else.

I cannot change the freq to go higher, am I missing something here? Am I really outputing pdf's at 60 lpi or since these options are greyed out is this a non issue...? ie. the printer rip determines lpi & Screening method....?

Re: Acrobat Screening Method

Do you have the "print as image" box checked at the top of the dialog box?

Re: Acrobat Screening Method

Which Xerox printer are you printing it to? Off the top it
sounds like a PPD issue, meaning that your PPD only
supports the options you see.
