Acrobat 7 Font Problem

Hey Gang,

Anyone seen this one before? Everytime one of our operators starts Acrobat 7 Professional, they get a message that reads:

Corrupt Font: Cannot find required table in TT font during subsetting/embedding.

I've made sure that acrobat is updated, and everything looks right. Tried to do a find on the TT font but no luck. I'm assuming it's a database somewhere. Any ideas? Really rather not go through doing a total re-install on CS2.

Thanks,

Monkey

Try clearing the preferences in Acrobat, clean font cache, then reboot.

Re: Acrobat 7 Font Problem

Another thing you could do, and continue to do if you download and install it, is use Linotype Font Explorer's maintenance tools. Zero cost. Have it there as a font manager if you want to use it for that, but you can use the "clean-up" tools anyway. There are about 4 things it does; chosen from the drop-down. V 1.2.2 is very stable and smooth. Download from:

There is an install guide from a very kind FEX fan here: http://font.is/?p=38Font Explorer tutorial

Disregard the slightly incorrect English. This guide is good!
Well worth the effort for a fully-featured font manager, which is FREE.

Tried the Font Explorer thing, no dice. In the meantime, the hard drive in that machine went teats up. New drive, reload EVERYTHING and no more problems. THanks to everyone who tried.
