Hello every one .

we are Flexo printer and have our internal Repro house

we've a GMG Flexo Proof V. 4.5 and doing our color management internally .
normally we prepare a fingerprint file including the GMG i1 ECI charts , print it , and from the output we create a color profile on the GMG and a Dot gain Curve on Esko server ...
most of the time there is a minor deviation between the digital print and the printing result after that .

my question is this sequence is right ? or we shall prepare the DGC from the fingerprint first and after that printing the GMG charts and create the color profile ?
another question / can we create ICC profile from the MX5 profile ?

My experience is primarily with offset. Normally you would first apply a dot gain curve. That puts the printing into a standard tone reproduction condition. Then you profile the presswork that is in that condition.
