If you specify, create, design, purchase, sell, or manage color for printed products or packaging, PRIMIR & Nima Hunter—an independent research firm—invite you to participate in a survey about new color management solutions and iccMAX.

The survey should take about 12 minutes, and the information you share remains confidential. Those who complete the survey will receive a summary of the key survey findings (upon study publication).

Why this survey & why now?
Because of growing interest in expanded gamut color palettes, metallic, pearlescent, opaque white, fluorescent, gloss, textural and other visual effects.
  • These new technologies are outstripping the capabilities of current standards-based color management solutions.
  • To address the potential impact of new color solutions based on the iccMAX specification.
  • Preliminary research indicates challenges presented by the increased use of expanded gamut printing and print embellishment create new opportunities for color management based on iccMAX.
  • According to the color management study co-chairs John Sweeney and James Raffel:
    • Changing demographics, evolving customer expectations & changing supply chains make development of new automated standards imperative.
Survey’s goal
  • Provide insights to develop standards-based color management solutions that meet future needs.
  • Understand pain points, frustrations, use cases, features & benefits desired.
  • Understand what is likely to be of greatest importance over the next 3 to 5-years.
