  • EFI Colorproof XF

    Hello,

Is anyone using the EFI Colorproof XF (server 3.1) software? I am looking into using the "Printer M and Spot Color" bundle with "Remote Proof", "Dot Creator" and Color Manager" options.
I am planning on using it with and Epson 4800 to produce proofs for Flexo labels. Does anyone know if the Epson is a DOD (Drop an Demand) printer?
Let me know what you think?

    Thanks,
    G

I'm pretty positive Epsons are DOD.

They are.. as are most inkjets now days. The Iris used continuous ink delivery...only one that comes to mind.

I believe the Veris and Dupont Digital Chromalins are also continuous.

Right you are...missed those. Incidently, I just read an article on high-speed continuous inkjet printing in Kodak's ONE magazine...pretty eye opening. Estimated that 3/4ths pf all book printing could move toward this in the next 10 years.
