Recommendations for Poly Plate Machine or Direct to Plate

Hello,

We currently have a AB Dick DPM 34HSC plate maker producing poly plates. Can anyone recommend a less expensive way to do poly plates or direct to plate, that does not compromise the quality (Nice halftones and screens). We are finding out that we are paying way too much for chemicals for the amount of poly plates we are making. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There are several poly plates that can be imaged on a toner printer or copier.
Resolution and detail at 600 spi, 3-97%, 150-175lpi.
Issue may be run length life, ~5K<10K?
