We have a Fuji Dart 4300S that is giving the following message:

E0820: The maintenance time of Trail clamps is drawing near. Please contact our office or agency and request those maintenances.

What is this, and is it something we can do?

Thanks
Paul

I presume that's a Screen 4300S with a Fuji badge on it. They have to have the tail clamps replaced every 20,000 plates. You should speak to the company that maintains the CTP, it may be part of the maintenance contract if you've included for that, otherwise it might be chargeable. It's an engineer visit, not user maintenance.

This message means that life of tail clamps in your CTP (OEM Screen 4300 S) is near end. Tail clamps is the part which fixes plate on drum during exposure cycle and if the respurce is expired . It's a consumable in all Screen CTP's but with quite long life. So you need new tail clamps. It's consists from three quite looking the same parts but each of them has their own position (i don't remember exactly, may be another letters: letters on each part: H - Home, C -Center, A - Away). The procedure of changing clamps must be executed by qualified personel.
