Loading/ saving new PMS color selection into Repository

Howdy readers,

We are seeking input as to how to maintain color selection in the Repository in Enfocus PitStop Pro 7 when converting CMYK doc's to a 2 color format...........any advice?

We go to the "Global Change" and then go to action lists for editing to convert to 2 color and can't seem to get our PMS color choices to stay in our repository once we close the file.

This is an in-plant environment and we use the same 2 -3 color over and over.

Thanks for any hints or suggestions.

Re: Loading/ saving new PMS color selection into Repository

I got this from the help menu:

{quote}
To build a color repository
1 Using the Select Objects tool , click any text or object in the PDF document which has the color which you want to add to your repository.

2 Choose Window > Show Enfocus Inspector to display the Enfocus Inspector.

The Enfocus Inspector appears and shows the current color settings of the selected text or object.

3 If necessary, change the color using the sliders or select another color model (Gray, RGB or CMYK) or spot color.

4 Under Repository, click Save.

5 Type a descriptive name for the color in the dialog box, and click OK.

The specified color is now saved in your color repository and can be reused later.

Is this what you've been doing?

suggestion 1 - open pitstop inspector - use repository save button in bottom left corner.

suggestion 2 - open action list - colour - manage - new
- name your action list - click record button on bottom left - do your global changes the same as you did before. When you've completed all your changes click the stop button beside record.Next time all you'll need to do is run the action list you created.

Re: Loading/ saving new PMS color selection into Repository

I've found that input in the repository can be inhanced by changing the position of the receptacle. By loading the solution with the repository in the supine position seems to help.

Are you using a group license? We found that the group license will not allow you to permanently add to the repository (or add to or create actions) because all licenses use the same data base. We had to get single licenses when we upgraded to resolve this issue.
