Re: how can use report maker ticket in backstage?
For those unfamiliar with ReportMaker.
ReportMaker is a function of EskoSuite 7 workflow where, as digi-digi has described, you first construct a template form. In that form you may place graphical elements ( logos, boxes, etc ) and a placement area for the image of the file you wish to create the report of.
You may then place text areas using "smartmarks" that reference information about that file. This information can include inks, ink coverage, lpi, size, and data pulled for the Esko systems database on customer, date, time etc,. - a ton of other stuff. We can even configure this to read data from your own MIS system to be printed on this report. You may also create ink bars that automatically pick up the inks in the job and show them.
The image of the file you are creating the report for can be scaled to fit the report page, can be generated in separations, progressive separations, on individual pages of the report, or stepped on one page. The options are up to you.
You may create as many report templates as will serve you needs.
To create the report sheet, simply select the file and choose the function ticket " create reportmaker", choose the template and destination for the report - be it in file format or then sent to a proofer/printer. Of coarse this function can be included as part of an automatic workflow and hence completely hands free.
