Hello,

Our company recently purchased a Heidelberg SM102 with a CP2000 console V043.500.
We are still in the process of getting it up and running and an error message has come up on the CP2000 after the XP shell startup.

"Hard disk Signature error"

I've googled and seems to be a hard drive ID conflict of some kind. As when the startup occurs the splash screen does show 2 hard drives listed.
I not familiar with CP2000 and a little leary of doing a change disk signature with disk management as I have done in the past on other XP systems.

Can anyone tell me what this error is point to?

Hard disk Signature error? [h=3][/h]

Hi sir.
Depend if you are window 7 with cp2000 use :utility called diskpart
Otherwise use this

Let me know and proceed according.
Otherwise, I have another tech documentation from Heidelberg.

OS shell is Windows XP as stated earlier.

Found a good read on superuser related to disk collision error, not the same setup but same principals.

Changing the unique id of the hard drive may render it useless with the CP2000 IF it needs that specific HD ID associated with the CP2000.
It would be an easy fix with the dos commands as outlined

But if it's not broken (and it's not broken, everything is working except for the error message) then don't fix it.
An error message is not a big deal if everything is working as it should.

Only an experienced Heidelberg Technician can answer this one.
