If you can see the intrack direction line on fuser roller it is most probably coming from contaminated air pressure.

I had an experience very early down of fuser rollers because of water and oil contaminated from air compressor. This oil particles makes color change of fuser while fusing process.Perform maintenance of air compressor, air filters of compressor and air dryer.

You are supposed to have an oil free air compressor. Also remember to bleed condensation on your air compressor daily so water will not build up in the lines.

I have experienced black in-track lines and scum on the operator side of the press and was wondering how to get rid of it.

we have had several problems with the quoted life of the fuser roller, causing the problem you are experiencing, we use a lot of heavy stock, and uncoated, all around the 380-400gsm weight, which knocks the life out the fuser and pressure roller, currently we change it approx every 80-100k as opposed to the quoted 600k, we went over to the black fuser roller as suggested by kodak, but the print wasn't really liked by our customer base (too shiny) and only gained 10k life over the red fuser, but now back on the red, and frequent changes to keep up the quality, but interested to read the info about compressors, as this could have a bearing on our problem.....
