Kodak has a new Substrate Expansion Kit that expands the types of paperboard and synthetic substrates NEXPRESS’ can run. The kit allows the press to handle paperboard & synthetic substrates with weights up to 24 points / 610 microns & 14 mil, respectively. The addition opens new opportunities, including short-run packaging, labels, tags, small folding cartons, point-of-sale displays, retail signage, business cards, hospitality pieces, menus & door hangers.

The 2-day upgrade is supported by a full day of onsite training by a Kodak technician, including best practices associated with running a broader range of substrates. The upgrade allows quick configuration changes to run a full range of substrates without needing a service technician.

Another enhancement, Opaque White Dry Ink—features single pass opacity—complements the other 9 specialty inks.
