PrintLink and Perfecting Presses

Here's the problem: 2 of our Heidlebergs are perfectors. With our old Brisque workflow we used InkPro. The presses require the CIP3 data to be swapped A<>B as the B side runs first, then the A. It was a simple manual operation in InkPro, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to accomplish the same thing In Prinergy with PrintLink. We can't be the only plant out there running perfecting presses with PrintLink. Anyone have any experience/ideas/solutions with this issue?

Re: PrintLink and Perfecting Presses

Hi Dan,

We recently had the same issue with a new installation and have discovered that you can swap the Cip3 data surfaces either on the Prinect prepress interface platform which printlink should be firing the data into. Or you can swap the front units with the back units to transpose A with B on the Press side touch screen, assuming you have this on your press. Cip 3 data can also be submitted as independent sides and then merged in the prepress interface.

Hope this helps

Paul.
