Importing a PDF two up

Hi,

Can anyone help!!!!

I have a 9x7in PDF document of a finished manual which needs to be created as two up 9x7 document on A3 paper stock. But each page needs to be a mirror image of itself, so you have two up of the same page. The document then needs to be exported as a PDF. I can do this manually but is there a faster/automated way of doing this? Im using Indesign 4.0.5 CS2, can this be done?

Cheers Dave

We do this type of job all the time and use Quite Imposing (www.quite.com) which is a plug-in for Acrobat. Much quicker and less prone to error than laying out spreads in InDesign.

Yep, if you're doing this regularly you might want to look into buying an *imposition* program.

One of the lest expensive imposition applications - that offers a way to accomplish what you desire - is PDF Snake;

$ 340.00 at the PDF store - http://www.pdfstore.com/details.asp?ProdID=503

I created a small calculator tool (an excel spread sheet) that might help you figure this out (set up wise) and also posted a few PDF files there that might help...

But I am sure you would rather imposed right from InDesign -

hope this helps !
