  • QUARK 7.3 Text becomes bold when overlapping picture box with transparency

does any no a work round that will stop text being rasterised over drop shadow or transparent image. i.e NOT BEING FLATTENED in/by the postscript file.

It used to happen to me when my text box was behind the transparent element. Bringing the text box to front would fix the problem.
Better train people and risk they leave - than do nothing and risk they stay.

How do you mean "NOT BEING FLATTENED"?
      PostScript is flattened, by definition.

Used to see that in older versions of InDesign, moving elements in front of the transparency, or even to another layer above the transparency would help. Please let us know what helps in Quark.

Be sure to "Knockout all" in your trapping prefs.
          Hope it helps.
