  • ink values to press

We have ApogeeX 2.5 and we are getting a new press (Komori SX29). We have been told to figure out how to send ink values to the press. Do we simply use inkdrive to produce a ppf file and then have the press operator get that file through the network? Do we need a program to be able to view this file such as PressPerCent or are we totally out in left field? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
The Apogee software application is just not enough. You need the DoNet software from Komori to link the prepress with the press. Your Komori dealer should have told you that.
Please go to: http://www.komori.com/contents_com/product/donet/cm.htm to know more about it.

    Regards,
    Gerhard

You can try a very easy tool (yet powerful) that we have developped, InkReady. We have several Apogee users who have it and sent us rave comments. You can download a full 5 days version here:

        Hi Rosey,

I have a customer with Apogee 2.5 --> 3 and they have several Komori presses.

One press, we can load the ppf files from a floppy.

For the other 3, we are having great success with Ink Ready. Once configured correctly, it offers the printer a good starting point to reduce make ready time significantly and to have more chargeable hours available each day.

        Works well.

        regards,
