ink values to press

We have ApogeeX 2.5 and we are getting a new press (Komori SX29). We have been told to figure out how to send ink values to the press. Do we simply use inkdrive to produce a ppf file and then have the press operator get that file through the network? Do we need a program to be able to view this file such as PressPerCent or are we totally out in left field? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: ink values to press

Hi Rosey,

I have a customer with Apogee 2.5 --> 3 and they have several Komori presses.

One press, we can load the ppf files from a floppy.

For the other 3, we are having great success with Ink Ready. Once configured correctly, it offers the printer a good starting point to reduce make ready time significantly and to have more chargeable hours available each day.

Works well.
