Screen 4300e Speed....

Our 4300e is currently running Azura TE plates, but as soon as we run out we are switching over to Sonora XP. With the Azura TE we are finding that we seem to have to run the machine close to it's limit to get good image density. The LEDs say they are at just below 50% life and in order to get a plate image density of .50 we have to run the intensity at 90% and the drum speed down around 675 RPM.

Sonoras require a pretty strong beam. The ones we have set up on the 16 diode Screens are usually set to 95% on the power and 600 RPM on the drum.

Accidentally posted this in the wrong thread so re-posting here. Any assistance/feedback is most welcome:

<< Hi PrintPlanet,

Anyone with a Screen PlateRite 4300E using Kodak Sonora XP Process Free Plates (0.20mm gauge)?
Will appreciate settings for Laser Energy / Laser Power % / Drum Speed if you use this combination
of Plate and Platesetter. We mostly print at 175 lpi with 2400 dpi if that's any help.

Thanks.
