We are moving from PrintLeader to a fully integrated MIS system. We are considering Avanti and wanted to get some general feedback on their system.

Which modules do you use? Our company is in the beginning stages of looking at it. It could be
a good option because it plays well with Xerox equipment and our databases in Mas 200.

We use Shopfloor, Estimating, Invenotry, Invoicing Order Processing Purchasing, Shipping, Reporting, and are currently trying to get eAccess up and running.

Kevin, how do you like the modules you mentioned? Do they do what you want? Work as
they were sold? Any short comings?
What do you think of Avanti's service and responses to your requests?

Estimating, Order Processing (we normally enter the order by importing the estimate - a couple mouse clicks), and Shopfloor are excellent for our needs.
Inventory and Purchasing (closely related, of course) need work and Avanti has been soliciting customer input and I believe they are working on a major improvment. We have staff that can do Crystal Reports and pretty much all the reports we use on a regular basis are customized. Telephone support is excellent, we almost always get a real person on the original call and most issues are resolved promptly. We currently have them doing some JDF integration to other vendors products or software and they are very late on that project.
