New to the site

Hi, My name is Steve and I've been doing light production printing for almost 10 years for 1-800-Dentist. We've used the Xerox DC250 for about 5 of those years. Now we are looking to upgrade, so I find myself here looking to learn a few things about different printers from real people, not sales reps (half of which don't truly know how their machines actually run).
Currently looking at the Xerox 560, KM C6000.

I guys... I develop online design software and application.. which I sell to printing companies and setup on their websites. My latest creations is an online book designer >> Flash Book Designer v.2011 | Children's book designer | Photo book printing | Book design software | Design your own book . I also do custom solutions. I have done this for 11 years. Before that I ran a small clothing company where we also printed on garment.

We also include full setup on your server and a shopping cart with payment integration.
Once a users has designed a book 'Admin' (the print company) gets an email with all details including a link to a ready to print PDF file with all the books pages inside.

Let me know if you have any questions about online design applications.

Best Regards/
Harbo

Hey guys, just found this place by accident. My name is Tim and i have been in the Offset biz for 30 years.
'Bout the only type of job I've ever had. I had 2 years of Graphic Arts in H.S in the late 1970's and got my 1st printing job 2 years after H.S. I was running 1 and 2 color 1250 Multi's and shooting negs.
5 years later the 40" bug bit me and i was a helper then 2ed Pressman then on to Lead Pressman.
Moved on to later become a Plant mgr. for a small company and then on Press Room Mgr over both shifts at a larger Co.
We had to file for bankruptcy due to the economy and i was unemployed for two years.
I was lucky enough to get a job with a brand new start up Company,Greeting Express,as Production Mgr. We do custom photo books, custom greeting cards,Large banners, stretched canvas prints and many other types of Digital Printing.
I am really liking this digital thing!! Glad to have found this place.

Hi my company is E.M.Services and i specialise in uv equipment. If you require a lamp for your equipment i can source most lamps or even get it made to order. Also for any problem i offer free advice that may even get it working. If photos of the equipment and control gear are emailed it would be most appreciated, it helps if parts are needed to repair it. Blankets are made to order. I can be contacted by phone on 07872 632155 for a prompt response or by email [email protected]

He Denis,
Welcome to printPlanet.
Always nice to meet a specialist.
I take the freedom to ask you the following thing: What are Encapsulite V50 tl?
I ask this because we need to build a yellow room for a CtP device but are new in this kind of tech.
I am from the Netherlands, so calling is not an option (for this kind of stupid questions!)
