  • Is Kodak going back to the past for its future?

Was reading on the return of the Kodak film and vinyl records, this ties into a question from a customer, they are looking into getting a used CTF, specifically a Avantra 30. The question is about the secured availability of Film for the thing, my answer was "Uhh!!!?" I know that Fuji has discontinued film for CTF and that there are Chinese manufacturers that churn out HeNe photo film buuut what about the others?
First the revival of Super 8 film which was previously announced but now on display at CES 2017:

And more recently the reintroduction of ektachrome film:

Hmmm...is computer to film the next phase? DTP? Camera-back separations?

Or a case of Marty McSly?

Retro fitting is needed Mr. Pritchard in this very disturbed world. Hope it's true.

It is good the Kodak is trying to make a comeback. They had a massive blow when everything became digitized.

Kodak was one of the pioneers of digitization. I don't think digitization was the cause of Kodak's troubles.
