Kees, thanks for the parody. It may be funny to some, (like the liberal media) in the the greatest country on earth, but thanks again for sharing it!

What amazes me and I realize the older I get is how much people from other countries are willing to give up their individual identity and turn to collectivism (i.e. socialism and communism).

For a lot of Americans, we are the exact opposite. We want to liberate the individual so they can live out their life as they see fit. Its about us first and in the end should only be about us. We do not owe any other county anything (except money). I think Britain finally understood that. Only took them 240 years to figure it out....

Probably best to leave Brexit out of this thread, the original topic was incendiary enough.

Original topic was incendiary? I get it that this is not a political forum but it is so incendiary that you can't even handle mentioning Brexit? I guess The Lounge needs to be a "safe space" now....

Those are two good ones you offered AP90 that predecesed this one.

Imagine that should quell the maddening crowd of contrasting opinion for some sort of reasonable time.

Thank you AP90.

First off, 17 and 18 are something that we should be #1 in and I fully support those stats.

Secondly, a lot of your stats are ones that our far left comrades like to use here in the states. We are the 3rd largest country in the world. Of course were going to be leading in a lot of those categories when going by straight numbers. But if you break them down per capita we are not leading in a lot of those countries, which is a more telling tale of where we stand. We do have some great areas of improvement needed, but to us Americans, we have a lot more positives that outweigh the negatives. Theres a reason our borders are being flooded with people trying to get into the country.

Here is a link to total crimes per capita with a reporting year of 2002. Yes its dated, but is a relevant statistic. Ill give you a hint, the US doesn't pop up on the list until #22. Theres 14 European countries ahead of it...

Hello Alois, educate yourself with some basic data about the state of California:

California (
Listen
[SUP]i[/SUP]/ˌkælᵻˈfɔːrnjə, -ni.ə/ KAL-ə-FORN-yə, KAL-ə-FORN-ee-ə) is the most populous state in the United States and the third most extensive by area. Located on the western (Pacific Ocean) coast of the U.S., California is bordered by the other U.S. states of Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona and shares an international border with the Mexican state of Baja California. The state capital is Sacramento. Los Angeles is California's most populous city, and the country's second largest after New York City. The state also has the nation's most populous county, Los Angeles County, and its largest county by area, San Bernardino County.

California's diverse geography ranges from the Pacific Coast in the west to the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the east; and from the redwoodDouglas fir forests in the northwest to the Mojave Desert in the southeast. The Central Valley, a major agricultural area, dominates the state's center. Though California is well-known for its warm Mediterranean climate, the large size of the state means it can vary from moist temperate rainforest in the north, to arid desert in the interior, as well as snowy alpine in the mountains.

What is now California was first settled by various Native American tribes before being explored by a number of European expeditions during the 16th and 17th centuries. The Spanish Empire then claimed it as part of Alta California in their New Spain colony. The area became a part of Mexico in 1821 following its successful war for independence, but was ceded to the United States in 1848 after the Mexican–American War. The western portion of Alta California then was organized as the State of California, and admitted as the 31st state on September 9, 1850. The California Gold Rush starting in 1848 led to dramatic social and demographic changes, with large-scale emigration from the east and abroad with an accompanying economic boom.

If it were a country, California would be the 6th largest economy in the world[SUP][14][/SUP] and the 35th most populous. It is also regarded as a global trendsetter in both popular culture and politics, and is the birthplace of the film industry, the hippie counterculture, the Internet,[SUP][15][/SUP] and the personal computer, among others. Fifty-eight percent of the state's economy is centered on finance, government, real estate services, technology, and professional, scientific and technical business services.[SUP][16][/SUP] The San Francisco Bay Area has the nation's highest median household income by metropolitan area, and is the headquarters of three of the world's largest 20 firms by revenue, Chevron, Apple, and McKesson.[SUP][17][/SUP] Although it accounts for only 1.5 percent of the state's economy,[SUP][16][/SUP] California's agriculture industry has the highest output of any U.S. state.[SUP][18][/SUP]

California, Pretty interesing basic overview.

Hello "D"

Thank you for the enlightenment regarding California, I was aware of the important facts !

Now for the "California Front" and the Governor of California - Jerry Brown' s speech leading

the resistance to "Trump's" daily dissolution of America's freedoms.

You must believe what you want to believe Alois, do not stop doing that.

No matter what anyone does to prod you along is a useless effort. You are predisposed in your convictions and all should respect that.

However, sometimes offer something from your own being as far as a contribution instead of posting quotes from other people long since dead and gone. That would be real nice to show your true integrity and morality.

They just need to go with the dominating viscosity of strength and transfer.

It can be worked out by all, but first understanding must transpire.

It will be simple after that. MINDSET.
