According to the NY Daily News, a Bronx mailman who delivered cocaine-laden packages between 2011 & 2013 was sentenced in Brooklyn federal court to 5 years behind bars.
The former Bronx mail carrier was hooked up with a drug trafficking ring that moved cocaine from Puerto Rico to NY. There were multiple, weekly deliveries, each paying between $1,000 & $5,000. The drug ring gave the mailman tracking numbers & addresses of certain packages that he intercepted, sorted & delivered. Each package contained between 1 & 2 kilograms of coke.
