Hi,
We are using a epson 7800 for color proofing. The printer just decided to not distribute ink on to the media.
We do a daily nozzle check and usually do a power clean once a week.
The printer was working fine monday evening and tuesday when we
came back in, it failed to distribute ink(all 8 colors) on to the media during the nozzle check.
It also isn't working when we send a file to proof. It does go through the process with a file as if it were still proofing but no distribution of the inks.
This is leading me to believe that the ink isn't being drawn from the cartridge. Such as a fuel pump not working on a car.
There have been no messages on the printer, as far as the printer knows everything is operational. We also tried a power clean, it still didn't draw ink. We shut down the printer, unplugged it. Restarted the computer as well.
We are just wondering if anybody has experienced this problem or might have some insight before we place a service call to Ep$on.
