    transparent image on background problem

I am trying to put this new Biodiesel in my '68 Delta 88 and there's some strange noises. Can I just added octane boost? It's the CPSI dragging you down. Actually more like flattening your productivity instead of your drop shadows.

    PDF Print Engine

Most of the owners that request to see demos of Prinergy are the ones tired of waiting 4 hrs to reRIP files, and can't afford to lose another client. One of those customers gone is usually the price difference to work with a premium workflow. Sorry to say, but Brisque and RAMPage had their glory...

    Postscript files

If you are using the Kodak Insite Prepress portal to send files, it does a non-lossy compression on the upload and an automatic decompression when it arrives, regardless of the file format. I agree that you should move to PDF (haven't we had enough politics on this one) as it's original...

Checking total ink limit in Prinergy

If you come to Graph Expo, we will be showing Prinergy 5, which is slated for early production in January 09. I could start describing new cool stuff, but would rather you see it. Contact a sales rep for a personal demo as well if you can't make it to Chicago. BTW, all our features in our...

Checking total ink limit in Prinergy

If you have the Advanced Preflight option, you can set a threshold to warn or fail in Refine above a specified total percentage. It can also show on the upload to Insite (assuming the Prinergy server has the advanced preflight on) with Insite 5.5.X. Allan

    PDF Engine

Nope. the cool thing is that each job can be switched to either the CPSI (Postscript interpreter) or the APPE (PDF print engine). AND, you don't have to reboot the machine to switch modes... nudge...nudge My guess is that an intense file that runs through the CPSI will now process about 30%...

Update: from Product Development Update: from Product Development There was a 10.4 Java update last night as well, so I'd expect similar problems there. Some inititial investigation seems to indicate the following: The Java update seems to prohibit use of aliases to the OS...

Making a composite PDF out of a separated PDF, possible?

Re: Making a composite PDF out of a separated PDF, possible? Prinergy can recombine the seps into composite. It's not an Acrobat plugin, but is perfomed during the Refine process. There's still some oldschool plug-ins kicking around and if someone is still using Powertone or Silvertone...

    Transparency Print Issues

Re: Transparency Print Issues It's no secret that the Adobe Print Engine HAS to flatten the art before plating at the last minute. That's a good thing since all the color management, trapping, etc has been done and altered if you choose to. It's also less of a minefield compared to flattening...

    Transparency Print Issues

Re: Transparency Print Issues Ditch the CPSI and get the PDF Print Engine. Sooner rather than later. Or tell Adobe to take transparency out of the next version of Creative Suite so designers will stop using it. You shouldn't be futzin with files, and if you are don't tell your customers or...

Re: Anyone know what happened to Trapwise? Ready, Set Go! a SyQuest called. Freehand, are you out there? Got bitten by a Cobra in a Hellish disaster. Dr .Bernoulli assisted with some Dynastrips and then we drove down Ventura Boulevard discussing the history of daVinci and his Magneto...
