    Print problem v180

There was a drum issue also on the Versant, they changed manufacturer and the coating on the drums was faulty, we had massive issues with that also.

    Print problem v180

We had a similar issue on Iridesse this time last year. Turns out there was a faulty batch of black toner which was causing a cast over the whole sheet. Perhaps you could ask service if this is something they have on record? I know there currently is a batch of bad toner in the UK/Ire for...

    Konica vs Xerox?

The in-line booklet maker is a nice touch, we have it with top and bottom trim on our Iridesse, so they just print and fall straight into the box.

    Konica vs Xerox?

In the UK, Xerox have been breaking contracts lately! There are some strange things seem to be going on with Xerox currently.

    Ink Appearance Iridesse vs Ricoh

I have ran an Iridesse and a 3100, together, for over 2 years now, and have noticed that the 3100 will blow the Iridesse away on uncoated stock, To get a smooth solid colour on coated stock, you need to bump the temp on the fuser pressure roll and belt up by 20oC. I have not seen sample or...

Xerox V80 NCR marking Transfer Belt

The condition of the second BTR does not seem to matter, in my experience, for printing NCR. I have seen it look like it's been rubbed with sandpaper, and yet it still prints NCR no issue. 95% of our NCR is B&W so it's not critical for colour or even coverage as it's text and a few lines...

Xerox V80 NCR marking Transfer Belt

Hi, Versant 3100, we run a lot of NCR. In fact, since we installed an Iridesse last year, it's been mostly NCR on the 3100 since then. The 2nd BTR does get trashed with a build-up of carbon from the NCR. I use an old one and if we need to run any other media I change it for a good one and it...

    Xerox Iridesse Info Needed

Same here, the drums are very different to the Versant range, they are built like tanks in comparison and are said to last to life by the engineers we have who have been working on other Iridesse machines for a couple of years. Time will tell but I like what I hear.

    Xerox Iridesse Info Needed

Operator her. Will give my personal view on the machine. We added a Iridesse to our production alongside a 4 year old Versant 3100. Before that we had a KM C8000, which I will not get into here, but the worst 5 years of my life as an operator. 3100 was a fantastic upgrade form the KM, ran...

    Thoughts on Digital Press charges/contracts

Hi guys, Speaking form the UK, I have heard a bit of chatter about some of our European friends having printers on a click only charge basis and not paying a monthly lease fee on them? Is this a thing? Does anyone have experience of this in the UK? If so, I would assume it's with an inflated...

    Label printing advice

Guys, thanks for the replies. It does now not make sense to go with the in-house production. I think I just needed to hear someone else confirm it for me! Cheers!

    Label printing advice

Hi guys, Looking some advice on label printing... Our company recently got labels printed to put on each box we send out to our customers. Labels are white, 62mm circle with solid colour background and white area being left for the logo/website name. Currently we are using approx 1000/month...

    Konica Minolta C8000 feed issue

Have you checked the gears at the back of the trays? There are plastic gears which we have had experience of teeth shearing off and jamming sheets. How long have you had the c8000?

Which is the Best Konica Minolta Bizhub Model

I cannot stress this enough. STAY AWAY from the C8000!! If it's the last printer on the planet, do not install one. As someone who operated one for approx 4 years, it was the worst 4 years of my working life. It is still in our workshop, and has not turned a cog in 18months. I could write a...
