    Invisible printing

I have run invisable white on sheetfed and web offset. It was an ink that we would mix with opaque white to match a 70 lb gloss stock it ran very well, but it was a pain getting everything clean.

horizontal streaks in web offset newspaper printing

Whenever streaks show up, go back to basics first. Make sure roller settings are correct, make sure they are the correct durometer, check the impression is correct and throws on solid, make sure your packed correctly and everything is tight, then check for a bearing problem.

    Anyone at Print 13?

I was there today, sad, sad, sad, I've been this industry for since 1972, the first show I attended was print 74. This show has no offset presses at all, was able to get info on some consumables, but heck, could have done that without wasting time at a dull show.

    Water in ink duct

Make sure that any zero spots have the water cut back to minimum, just enough to keep the plate clean. Also make sure that the turbo is clean and calibrated to get optimum performance out of its shutters.
