    Calibration

We have a Epson Stylus Pro 9900 with SpectroProofer driven by EFI Fiery XF v5.0. When it was installed it was set to send a calibration file every morning. We have just noticed it no longer does this. We have looked everywhere in the EFI settings and the control panel on the printer itself and...

    Imposition Software Costs

Where can I find a cost comparison for Kodak Preps, Metrix, Dynastrip and Impostrip. We are a medium size offset printer, that does publications, books, annual reports and invitation packages. Our main binding styles are saddle-stitch, perfect bound, and flat work. We presently use Preps 5.3.3...

    Nexus stitcher

Stitcher Stitcher Thanks correct, but Esko is telling me I can convert PDF to LPs and then stitch. I have the LPs going to the Jobs folder on Nexus but apparently it is still looking for a PDF with this error "No PDF input file provided for the TotalRIP" Thanks

    Export vs distill

Inspection of file Inspection of file Thanks for all the suggestions. I have reduced the file to a manageable level to email if anyone is willing to inspect it. I have packaged the InDesign file, included the joboption, InDesign print presets and the resulting PDFs. I can post it on my FTP...

    Export vs distill

The file is too big to post (66mb). The job was on press and it is definitely a problem. I will try to compress and also send the joboptions I used. Printing PS and distilling work fine with the same joboptions. (I exported it from InDesign). Thanks for the help bobm

    Export vs distill

Why is the weight of the rule changing (right hand side) when I export from InDesign vs printing a PS and distilling it using the same joboptions? Screenshots included. Thanks in advance Bobm

    SoftProof

Would anyone have a Pitstop action to use in a Nexus workflow that closely resembles the "Reduce File Size" that is built in Acrobat? The "Make UltraThin Proof" that Enfocus supplies is very rough compared to the "Reduce File Size" in Acrobat. Thanks in advance

Convert color to CMYK keep RGB images

Our rip does a better job of converting RGBs to CMYK (Nexus). We than can globally change the colors to any PMS or screen build we want. Thanks
