Running a Xerox iGen 4 with a Creo rip. We have a client constantly bouncing proofs and printing elsewhere because of an issue we can't seem to solve. They build elements, such as a chart in Illustrator, CMYK file, they make a 10% black screen, and then place an orange rectangle on top of it...

Where can you learn about mailing?

I Apologize if this is the wrong category. We recently started doing mailing in house, at first is was maybe once a week we had one to do. Now its more like 3-5 a week. We only mail what we print so we have control over it from the beginning. The question I have is what is the best way to...

Inkjetting for mailing on Varnished stock? What type of ink?

We have a W-InkJet mailing system by Kirk-Rudy. It does have a heat lamp drying system that the pieces run under. The only thing we have yet to accomplish is how to inkjet on top of a gloss varnish. We know other mail houses are doing it, but we have not been able to find an ink that can do...

    Bleed lines

Just create your guide in the original file as a custom spot color, then when you prescan, just map it to dieline, it will overprint on your proofs so you can see them, then when you go to plate dont plate that color
