    Aristo cutter barcode reader issue

We purchased an Aristomat TL 48C almost two years ago and we have never been able to keep the bar code scanner connected to the Aristo software. Windows maintains the connection but the software constantly drops it. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? Windows 10, Datalogics M2 Scanner.

    Onyx Pass-thru

Thanks, I figured it was a long shot but wanted to check. Our main issue in getting the color setup has just been a lack of time and looming deadlines. If I run into issues I will definitely keep you in mind.

    Onyx Pass-thru

We are having some issues getting our color correct on our Epson GS6000 when running through onyx. We have not been able to get the color calibrated correctly using the Xrite I1. For the interim is it possible to run a job through onyx, skip the color management, add fiducials for a cutter...

Do we really need preflight software?

Preflight tools at the job entry stage have been a major slow down in the production environments that I have worked in. Years ago we bought into the whole FlightCheck idea and it did a great job, but it didn't save us money. There are companies out there who dedicate an employee or employees to...

Do we really need preflight software?

My company operates entirely via PDF workflow. We use the built in preflight component of Acrobat. We do not use other preflighting software. PDF's are produced out of Indesign and Quark.

    suprasetter feedback

I am well aware of the differences in thermal vs. violet devices, but don't you feel in 7 years we should be able to produce thermal plates with a little better technology than what it was then. 5 years ago this same company I now work for had a topsetter thermal device. This current...

    suprasetter feedback

I think I loathe our suprasetter and Prinect-P more and more each day.

    suprasetter feedback

Lamontcranston, Currently our suprasetter outputs SM72 plates at just over 13 plates per hour using Heidelbergs chem-free plates. In 2003 A Fuji Saber Luxel, which is a violet internal drum, was outputting the same size plates at a rate of 23 per hour on a single laser. The device itself...

    suprasetter feedback

We have a Suprasetter 74. The thing is a dog. It is the most unreliable piece of equipment I have ever had in any prepress environment. It constantly has connectivity and centering issues. It is extremely slow, at least coming from a shop that ran a Fuji Saber 6000. It has no external control of...

    Sujet Problem in Signa

That's what I do currently. What I really want is to have that box unchecked by default and always have a consistent value dependent upon plate size.

    Sujet Problem in Signa

How do I turn off auto sujet and set a default value for each plate size. I am trying to get the sujet to position at .625 on all jobs.

    Who teaches the teachers?

The teachers at the university near our shop were terribly out of touch. One of the teachers had a good relationship with us and she would come and train with us during the summer. She was constantly amazed at how different printing actually is than what they teach in class. I would say the best...

You are correct Guru, We have Signa and Metadimension. Right now Luck is all I have to go on.

    Understanding Prinect

I just talked to a sales rep and he said we have to upgrade from Prinect-P to do these types of things. I guess I am just frustrated that these are all basic features in Rampage. Prinect-P seems to be a revised Delta with a normalized workflow. I have yet to see any gain.

    Understanding Prinect

So far I have got the pages to split. The next thing for me to figure out is how to get them to combine properly. When you write out the single page edit from indesign to pdf you have to give it a different name or export the entire PDF again and qualify the entire PDF again. Is there a way...
