Will Fiery XF Version 6 Work With a Summa S2 Class 160T Vinyl Cutter?

Here is the page with the ssupported cutters Supported Cutters in Fiery XF. Just choose the manufacturer and see if the model you want is listed. I take it you already have the Cut Server option.

    Epson 9800 clogged nozzles

It means "CR motor is out of step". This error requires a service call.

Epson 9800 Print Head Printing Nothing?

Is it possible to attach a small tube with a syringe to the ink wells (I think they are called dampers), so you can extract the air manually? Do you have the service manual? If I remember correctly there is an "initial ink filling" procedure that you could try but I'm afraid this would first...

Epson 9800 Print Head Printing Nothing?

Did you print a nozzle check prior to all these cleanings to verify that the printhead was actually clogged? What you described as a problem could also indicate a feeding problem. After you placed the printhead back in the printer did you do any cleanings to fill the printhead with ink? Perhaps...

Epson Wide Format Roll to Roll?

The maximum print length for one image is about 50 feet. This is a driver limitation, if you use a RIP you might be able to print a longer image. Epson's large format printers are usually roll to sheet but if you add an Auto Take Up reel (it's an option), you can print roll-to-roll. This option...

    Agfa Sherpa 24m / Epson 7600

If I remember correctly, Agfa had it's own firmware in the printer and Epson inks were not recognized. In order to you Epson inks you should change the firmware to the "original" one. I am not 100% sure as it was a long time ago maybe someone else could confirm or correct me...

    Ink Usage?

You can run some test prints on your 7900 and see the amount of ink used. In your printers panel there is a menu called "Printer History" (or something similar, I can't recall exactly). The last 10 jobs are stored there and you can see the amount of ink used in ml (not per cartridge, the total)...

    ES2000 for Epson???

Calibration and profiling usually involves a RIP. If you use the driver to print you can still make your custom profiles based on calibrations given by the driven (when you select a media type you basically choose a calibration). To fine tune these calibrations there is a utility from Epson...

    green cast on Epson 9900

I would first check the nozzles of the printhead to make sure they are not clogged. Print a nozzle check from the printer's panel and proceed based on the result (clean printhead or move to step 2). Step 2 would be a linearization check. I would do a re-linearization to make sure the print is...

    Red Prints as dark orange

Have you printed a nozzle check? The magenta nozzles could be clogged, therefore red would print differently.

Problems with spot color in printing

Does your RIP have more than one table for spot conversion? If yes, the tables priority may be your problem. Instead of reading the table with your edited spot it reads another table with the inaccurate values. You mentioned you have done this before. If you create a new file with the desired...

    Suggestions for plotter negatives?

There is an option in the LFP Remote Control Panel to adjust the paper feed of the SP9890. This way you can "correct" any mismatch of the prints dimensions. Similar adjustment should be available in your RIP software. This is related to the material you use to print so, look at the corresponding...

    Designjet 5500PS resolution questions

There is an "edit" button which you can click after reading the profiling chart and prior to building your profile. Start the new media wizard, go ahead with making your settings, ink restrictions etc. and look for the "Edit" option in the "ICC Profile" step.

    Clogged Nozzel detected error

A firmware update resolved this issue for me in the past but on another model, not the 9900.

    Designjet 5500PS resolution questions

A way I have tried to make the effect less noticable is to create a media profile with a black start around 20-25. The black ink dots do most of the "damage" so, by cutting black from light tones you get a better looking result (the term "peppering" is used for this effect). hope it helps
