    Fiery Command Workstation 5.5

I recently downloaded and printed a 395 page manual for Fiery Version 5. It was on the EFI website, but I wanted a manual for Version 6, which I'm getting within a couple of weeks. I think there have been some changes since this last manual was offered. It seems somewhat vague. I am totally new...

    Banding Issues

I once had banding and pin striping the plates coming out of my imagesetter. The cause was attributed to a faulty cable connection. Once the cable was secured, the banding issue was resolved. Is your printer driver up to date? Could a software issue be the culprit?

Plate Curve Smart Mark In Rampage?

Your advice was GREAT! It did exactly what I hoped it would. Thanks, bean66. Shortly after enjoying this success, I sent out an email to tell my coworkers the following: I was able to add a mark to every one of our plates. The mark includes the following information: Plot Date Plot Time...

Pandora Fails To Honor Layering Upon Saving

I'll try that next, thanks! I'm using 3.0.1. Everything was fine until we "upgraded."

Pandora Fails To Honor Layering Upon Saving

This isn't really an overlap problem so much as a layering issue. We will send some items to back so that the glue tabs will not obscure the art on adjoining pieces, but when we save the Pandora imposition, the items will pop back to their original layer, causing the overlap issues. The die...

Pandora Fails To Honor Layering Upon Saving

When saving my Pandora imposition file, the layering of nested files changes by itself. In other words, glue flaps on items suddenly will print over the art on nearby items. The odd thing is that the program will allow me to send items to back or bring them to front, but they become undone upon...

Plate Curve Smart Mark In Rampage?

I'd like to add a smart mark to my plates. I want it to indicate which specific curve has been applied to the plate upon output (e.g. Linear, SBS Stock, CCLB Stock, Uncoated Stock, etc.) Any ideas how this can be accomplished? Also, if this can be done, is there any way to specify where I would...

    Prinergy font problems

The only time I ever saw anything like this was when my Acrobat Distiller was manually told not to embed specific fonts when converting an EPS file into a PDF. But I don't think we got boxes in the place of type. We just got a default font. Myriad Pro I want to say. Check your Acrobat Distiller...

Cannot Double Click To Open CS5 InDesign Files!

Better late than never, eh? So I've got a Windows 2000 server. My shop only has Macs, though. And only the iMacs have CS5 on them. @RickS & Kansasquaker: Version 7.02 software? Which software? Are you guys referring to Windows 7? I've tried all manner of opening the CS5 files, double-clicking...

Cannot Double Click To Open CS5 InDesign Files!

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone! I'm at home now, but I'll be trying each of the things you recommended tomorrow. I'll be able to answer some of the other questions posed above as well. :)
