    Hello,
I saw a printshop bind a book the old fashion way with glue and vinyl and used some sort of quick lettering to place writing on the cover in gold. Does anyone know what is that machine that was used to so quick placed the names on the cover in gold?

Probably, a hot foil press. Usually means making a Die first, heating it up, then press on to material, through a foil. Gold, silver etc. Heat causing it to stick where the die is pressing down. There are a few different ways to do similar things these days. Look up "Sleeking"
