    GMC PrintNet Solutions

    Thanks kaiserwilhelm, How was the training, documentation, online support/forums? I'm asking because I've had enough with situations of poor customer service(XMPie) and useless documentation(Objectif Lune - PlanetPress) that I'd like to hear what actual users have to say. If you have...

    GMC PrintNet Solutions

    Has anyone used this software and if so please give me your thoughts on the usability/functionality. We've been using PlanetPress for our transactional printing and are finding it just is not as versatile as we and our clients would like. I just had a demo of PrintNet at Graph Expo and was...

    You control front and back registration through the paper settings. Each paper stock has its own settings the machine reads and adjust to. The machine will adjust temp based on the stock weight, type, etc. It will also compensate for shrink and shifts based on other settings made for that...

    Acrobat.com = free FTP

    acrobat.com This is very cool but I don't know much about it. Essentially acts as a free FTP site. Very good for the prepress department trying to survive without an FTP.

    PrePress = IT Department? What the...

    Hahahaha, So true. My last place had our CFO acting as IT! Is it me, or is there generally a serious lacking of any common sense in todays print owners? They have no idea what it takes to run a shop successfully and have no intention of investing in their most important asset of all....THE...

    Business Card Web to print

    I use XMPie. Very effective and robust. Probably more power than you need, but could lead you to new avenues of revenue. Learning curve is quite steep, but once your up there you can do almost anything with the software. Great solution if you have the $ and the IT knowledge.
