    Mac server to PC server

Prepressguru has it right. Use a Mac worksation to copy the files from the mac server to the pc server, and all will be well. Do not copy them directly server to server. Do not use a pc to do the copy.

1999 Genesis Purup - printing from a mac problems

David, This is common, and relates to the "enhanced" security in the Mac's newer OS. The best fix would be to upgrade your rip (yes we can do that) and put it on a mac with a 10.6 os. I can probably fix it via remote, give me a call (877*554*5800) or send me an email JimATc-doc.com Note this is...

    Avantra & Apogee Help

Appletalk would have nothing to do with this. Avoid it if you can. What is preventing you from using the ppd, and "printing" a pdf file to the hot folder? To control your separations, use "inrip separation" rather than "composite cmyk" when you print out of indesign. You do need to have the...

    Halftones on Accuset 1000

The 9000sr is an early viper. It is level 2. It doesn't have any caches that need to be cleared. It is really really old though, and cannot handle that gradient. Bitmap the file, then print it. There is a way to do it in newer versions of illustrator, or just open it in photoshop @ 600 dpi

    Avantra 44 error 149

CompuDoc also has everything you need. 877-983-8800 Your problem, as suggested above, is most probably a dirty encoder on the back of the spin motor, or a bad spin motor. I strongly agree with those who said you need a personal visit by a good tech.

Accuset 1000 Plus, out of media

Excellent stuff above, and totally accurate, but WAY beyond the scope of what's called for here. Do a "LOAD-ENTER" with all the covers open. Watch the film and the 2 moveable arms. What you will probably see is the supply side (left) arm start to go down, then pop back up. The system is...

    Accuset 800 Plus Imagesetter Manual

cute. and then I notice the date on this post... Sorry all. This link was emailed to me today by a consulatant who has been working with this guy, I guess this is still a live issue. Guy is only a 2 hour drive from me, don't know why he doesn't just bite the bullet and have me get everything...

    Accuset 800 Plus Imagesetter Manual

Sorry Vlad, you're missing the boat on this one. Not your fault though, you're also missing some vital info. Customer (at least I hope he soon becomes a customer) has a taipan rip. Anytime the imager goes online, the taipan checks all the settings. That is why you see the different cassettes...

    Pre Press Solution

I suppose I may as well get my 2 cents in... Trolling forums Bill? You should leave that to your dealers. But Xitron does indeed have an excellent modular solution, Harlequin based, that will do everything you need and more. We can drive your ctp directly, or generate TIFFS, whichever you...
