PitStop Pro Warning: Mac Users Should Not Update to Latest Adobe Version

I'm unsure of which software you were trying to downgrade? I did try the suggested downgrade with Acrobat. My attempt was unsuccessful. I hope this can be resolved quickly. One never realizes how reliant you can be until you see there aren't any anchor points to guide you. This can be a huge...

If this hasn't gone viral - it should have.

It's sad to see where we are all going. Thanksgiving 2016 I watch my niece and her husband argue with their two kids on how they were too dependent with their iPhones and that they use play and do things outside when they were younger. The thing that their daughters didn't notice during the...

    Getting the Print Order

I use to work for a company and we had a design firm that would always allow us to bid, but they had no intention of giving us the job. They were required to get 3-5 quotes to show their brass that they are doing their due diligence, and the company I worked for would never underbid.

    Who is responsible for moaré

My company deals with the same issue from time to time. Moiré's can be a real pain. There're times you don't see them in the proof, sometimes you don't see them on the plate. There are times you don't see them until the job is on press. The printer is responsible. It's our job to...

Perfect Binding File Preparation - HELP!

Hey PPD I work at a book printer. We use a inner shingle for creep. We don't move the work at all. On a rare occasion we will have a client request that we move/adjust photo pages that cross-over 1/16th to face.

    Warning: Beware Automation Sedation

My company has actually gained cliental because we aren't fully automated. One client has actually told us stories where they would approve a job with a fully automated workflow, to find out a week later that the job is still waiting to be plated because there were lo-res issues. Since it was...

    Spot Colorbars in Preps 5.2

Using Preps 5.3.3. We use illustrator eps's for our marks and color bars. I can see the previews with the marks and color bars on a Macintosh computer. But it previews gray on a PC format. Either way the marks are fine. At least for us.
