    Slitter, Cutter, Creaser reviews

I've had better luck with Duplo than GW, but they were different caliber machines. The Duplo 6xx machines have been great business card and table tent workhorses.

Canon Varioprint 130 or Konica Minolta AcurioPress 6136?

Hey there, I'm speccing out new machines to replace our KM 1200s that are nearing end of life and have narrowed it down to the Canon Varioprint 130 or Konica Minolta AcurioPress 6120/6136. Does anyone here have experience with either? I've studied the spec sheets and seen both machines in...

    Connecting 3 sheet NCR sets

Depending on quantity, your client may be used to inline adhesive like they use on web press forms that's similar to a press to seal like in your scenario. Unfortunately I've not found that exact solution for digital. Other than that, what everybody else said.

    Konica Minolta RIP maintenance

I believe that any maintenance of the RIP is included in the maintenance costs. Are you hoping to maintain the RIP device yourself? Ours has needed a few calls so it's not money wasted to me.

XEROX D125 B&W Toner Cartridge poor Yield and Chip Issue

I have a friend using that machine at their shop and this happens to them alot. Xerox said to order more toner. No-one was happy. I had a similar experience with a Nuvera 120 and couldn't be happier to not have it anymore.

Digital vs. Offset Printing for my new business

You could lease a digital press, UV coater and cutter, have a reasonable footprint and only be out the monthly cost and termination fees if you stop. Xante - cheap to buy, expensive to run. Nice and small. Konica minolta 1085/11000 - cheap to buy (100k) average to run Canon - 1100 More...

Home Printers for printing onto small boxes?

Mohawk paper also makes a limited range of dimensional sheets as well. Dimensional | Mohawk Connects Inkjet would work decently well but you may need to apply a spray sealant or similar to give the package some durability. Some HP and Epson 12x18 printers have a straight paper path for heavier...

    Peeloff Problems in Thermal Lamination

Lamination shouldn't absorb moisture since it's not porous. If you laminate a 20# sheet does it curl to one direction over the other? Are you letting the printed sheet dry sufficiently before laminating? I've laminated sheets at reasonable high humidity and not had much of a problem. What...

    Peeloff Problems in Thermal Lamination

Also, check the tension on the lamination rolls. They should be as loose as you can without any rippling on the piece or around the edges. Many laminators tend to tighten as they run so check that they are not overly tight and that the top and bottom are the same tension (close your eyes and...

    Epson 9900 Failed Cleaning

You may be able to manually clean the heads. There's a breif tutorial here talking about the paper towel and windex method: Fixing Clogged Epson Print Heads - Printers - Computer Peripherals

    Lanyard Slot Punching

Could you order pre-punched stock? I'm not sure you'll find something robust enough for your needs yet cheap enough for your budget.

    31 years in offset...

And there will be a huge leap in quality between home based and what a printer should be running. Much like desktop inkjet printers that can print a great photo at great cost but certainly aren't worth it for production or volume usually. I still think printed circuits and other conductive...

    Cutter dust/rough edging?

I'm wondering if the blade is skewing (from the perspective of the operator) front to back. I've seen a machine where the blade articulation had developed a touch of play and it didn't come down flush with the foot consistently. It did something similar. Once we purchased a new machine that...

    Toner refill kits?

It really depends on the quality of the components they used in the toner. If nothing else you'll need to recalibrate due to the difference in color pigment used.
