I am currently getting a white solid line going across my prints. I did a CMYK test to see if it's a drum. Well it only appears on Cyan, so I swapped the Cyan drum around with the Magenta Drum. Still getting the same white line in the same place, so surely can't be a drum issue, as it should...

I had this same issue on my Versant 280. Sometimes it can be the pressure roller, but on this occasion it was the fuser.

Does anyone else experience the following Fault code 026-401 on their Xerox Versant 280? I seem to get it now and again, its to do with alignment threshold going out.

I have ran C5 and C4 peel and seal envelopes on our Versant 280 and ran ok.

I did speak to my sales rep and he did tell me that apparently the 2nd BTR's are being manufactured in Ireland and they have opened up another factory to cope with demand. So perhaps that might be why you can get them quite quick. I have tried to place another on order as a spare.

I fully agree, does make you think what is Xerox actually trying to do? I mean it must be costing them a fortune in producing and shipping the 2nd BTR parts :rolleyes:

Most engineers I speak to, all admit the problem does exist, but there is 1 or 2 engineers who try to go down the route of saying to use Xerox paper :rolleyes: which is twice as much, but at the end of the day paper is paper and most all come from the same paper mills here in Europe and Far East.

Yes I always clean constantly under the sensor, majority of the time it's pretty spotless anyway. I think if the machine could have some kind of side lay to knock up to instead of relying on a sensor to detect the sheet, it could improve registration accuracy.
