Adjusting sensors for new plate media on Screen 8000II

Hello all. I'm attempting to test a new develop on press plate but every time I try to image one my Screen 8000II acts like it doesn't see it and throws an error. Is this something that can be adjusted in a service menu? Trying to avoid a service call just to test a new brand of plates. Any...

    Where to sell leftover stock?

Does anybody know of a forum or other place on the internet where printers can sell speciality leftover stock from a job? I have several cartons of PaperTyger I would like to get out of my inventory before the end of the year. Thanks. Scott

    Diagonal registers icons desapeared !!!!!!

My guess... when you powered up, those 2 cocking motors failed the init test, so CPC will not recognize they exist when it loads. When CPC started up, what screen did it display? Did it say SSK at the top and have a number blinking below?

    Press Won't Stay on Impression

Oh and thank you too, milkwil2000. You both responded to my thread even thought it was clearly in the wrong forum. I actually posted it twice thinking I had accidentally posted it incorrectly the first time. Turns out "THE ADMINISTRATOR" has moved it from the sheetfed/web forum both times...

    Press Won't Stay on Impression

Thanks LSW. I actually have the air pressure sensor jumped out. That was the remedy to another problem a few years ago. But you are right, it does behave like that. I wished there was a fault, so i'd at least have a directions to go in

    Press Won't Stay on Impression

1992 Heidelberg CD 102. I have a weird problem that I can't diagnose. When starting the press on production, here's what happens: Water forms drop Swing gripper takes sheet out of the headstop, feeder is running 1st unit goes on impression (not printing in 1st unit) Ink forms drop in 2nd unit...

    Heidelberg Feeder Pile Sensor

I did not. After finding the feedback from the sensor in the SSK screen, it was jumping +/- 20 numbers with the pile stationary, book said it should be only +/- 5. It seems like the sensor is VERY sensitive, and it is stuck in some a loop trying to find the perfect position. It just keeps...

    Anti-Static Bar

I run a '92 Heidelberg CD 102 and I'm wondering where should the anti-static bar be located? My press has a standard delivery and the anti-static bar is located a few inches after the powder sprayer, at the same hight. To me, that seems way to far away from the sheet, which explains why I...

    Heidelberg Feeder Pile Sensor

I'm having a problem with the sensor that shifts the feed plate left or right to keep the skid of paper the same distance from the pull guide. The old sensor was causing the pile to do odd things, like move all the way left or right when the pile did not need to move at all. Eventually the...

    Belt Material

I need to replace the belts on a MBO stacker. MBO wants a small fortune for the replacements. Does anyone know where I can get a roll of similar belt material? Thanks. Scott

Bad plates or a print mechanical problem brain teazer??

My guess, backtrap mottle. The 4 ink films print fine seperatly or a few together. But all together, there is not enough decrease in tack from unit to unit for the ink film being printed to stick to the previous ink films. Did they change fountain solution? If there is a ink/chemistry issue...

    Printing long on one side

Thank you gentleman for the healthy debate that is raging due to my problem. To answer some questions brought up: Contact test with ink transfer, bearer to bearer was good. The unit in question has never had any cylinder repair work. The plate clamps are speed clamps and I will check the bite...
