    Ijet color 1175

Thanks tnims68, these guys seemed to know what their prices were so I thought maybe they just got better pricing than I did. My samples returned to me looked the same from both systems. I came to the same conclusions as you.

Has anyone ever had success hiring someone through this job board?

I was thinking about posting here but find it hard to believe very many job seekers are on this forum?

    Beware of Printware

I visited their office a couple years ago before making my decision. I was excited to see their equipment. However, after meeting some of these people in person, I knew this was not the company to do business with. I get their marketing emails all the time. They outright lie in them. They...

If you're comparing these two on quality, why don't you also compare them ink cost and throughput?

Cannon Imagepress C810 - What do you think???

The x00 and x10 series of Canon discussed here is not designed for a print shop with heavy use. The only difference is speed. The front to back registration will be terrible on 12x18. The first 200 sheets are fine, then it will work it's way off. It's a known issue for years. The Canon...

Cannon Imagepress C810 - What do you think???

From my experience with Canon, I would not recommend it.

KM AccurioPress 12000, Xerox Iridesse, Ricoh 9210 and Canon VP 10100

BookPrinter1, have you noticed the 9210 being a bit picky with toner coverage on coated stocks? It seems very finicky with different coated papers in the 80lb -100lb text range so you have to make minute fuser temp adjustments.

Any Updates - Canon Digital Cut Sheet Presses

That's true. The last several months of our contract, we were unable to get toner due to the shortages. The vendor also did not allow us to use non-OEM. Ricoh and Canon have been good through the pandemic for us.

Any Updates - Canon Digital Cut Sheet Presses

Canon could pretty much care less about their laser line and even less after you've purchased the machine. I wouldn't waste time on them if you're a typical print shop. Check out KM or Ricoh. Just speaking from first hand experience.

    Feedback on Hydraulic Guillotine Cutters

Careful on your cutter selection if noise is a concern. Some units run the hydraulic pump the entire time your at the cutter. Other units only run the pump when the blade is in use. I personnally don't care of the extra noise.

    Print Variable Data PDFs

GMC-mucho $$ Solimar-mucho $$ Planet Press Connect-not impressed with it's clunky new interface VIPP-not a hardware option XMPie-Too weak for the task What else is out there for a mid-size shop that won't break the bank and caches resources?

    Print Variable Data PDFs

Hi Guys, I'm wondering if anyone has advice on software that is capable of printing hundreds of thousands of pages of PDFs? If converting to postscript, software must resource duplicated images. Software must add media calls. Software must add barcodes to output. The largest single PDF's could...

Hydraulic Cutter advice- Baum/Polar or Challenge?

I liked the Challenge Titan 200 but not their larger 27/30"+ units. At these sizes I prefer a Baum/Polar unit. In my opinion, I'm not a fan of the larger Challenges because the unit I tested ran a hydraulic pump the whole time, whether you were cutting or not. The Baum only runs the pump when...
