I suggest Hybrid Software, many yeas ago we abonded Esko, it is too expense. Hybrid can integrate with GMG, Arden ,which mean the pdf ,color and structure can join together.

What about the KM-1 2nd process? many print job need 2nd process ,like hot foil,laminated,UV ,waterbase vanish?

Yes, Illustrator is a better tools than Indesig for packaging .ISO 19593-1 is about how to associate the processing steps like foil,diecut.There is still many compaies who use the Indesign . There is other options like esko,hybridsoftware,they are good but expense .So we need a cheaper option ...

Since the new ISO PDF Standard 19593-1 have been issued, it use layer to organize the processing step,like diecut,foil, vanish,which is great for the print and buyer. But most prepress use the indesign to do the DTP job,but indesign don't support the sublayer.I found the DTP Tools have a plungin...

why use black backing since the iso icc using the white backing? i think this is a strange setting for iso .

I suggest you use a cut-back curve to compensate the lamination.It donse't work when using the i1 to make a profile for glossy lamination.

We use the Eizo 221,and set the white point to D5800, and it is perfect match with the print sheet or the proof.D50 may be too yellow,and D65 may be too blue.
