Iridesse and Mixed Media Question

It appears to me if main jobs is lighter weight paper and mixed cover is heavier stock that printing will have no pauses if the mixed media settings are correct. For me this works fine with no pauses.

BUT, if main stock is heavy stock 216gsm and a insert like a 90gsm order blank in a calendar for example it will give 2 minute pauses both before the 90gsm sheet and after the sheet. If I fool the 90gsm stock and tell it is 216gsm it won't pause before but will after like it detects the stock weight and need to adjust the fuser temperature. While it appears that my mixed media settings are correct because light main to heavy mixed works correctly but the other way around doesn't, is there some setting I am missing. I am even more puzzled because when running the Versants this was never a problem.

The on the Versant there is a high speed setting in maintenance mode that makes mixed media switching instant. Look in the control panel for something that toggles between "high speed" and "high quality mode". If you can't find it, reach out to Xerox phone support to walk you through.

I know all that as we ran Versants before so I am wonder about what others running the Iridesse are finding going from heavy main to light mixed.

Figured it out. On the Iridesse if the fuser temperature adjustment is set to something other than 0 it will force the fuser to go to that temperature which results in the delay with mixed media.
