    Iridesse and Mixed Media Question

Figured it out. On the Iridesse if the fuser temperature adjustment is set to something other than 0 it will force the fuser to go to that temperature which results in the delay with mixed media.

    Iridesse and Mixed Media Question

I know all that as we ran Versants before so I am wonder about what others running the Iridesse are finding going from heavy main to light mixed.

    Iridesse and Mixed Media Question

It appears to me if main jobs is lighter weight paper and mixed cover is heavier stock that printing will have no pauses if the mixed media settings are correct. For me this works fine with no pauses. BUT, if main stock is heavy stock 216gsm and a insert like a 90gsm order blank in a calendar...

Is anybody out there running the Konica Minolta’s C83hc?

Saw some proof off the C83HC. I was surprised at the smoothness and lack of banding. The high gamut I was expecting and might be a good fit for our calendar production. Just how is Minolta on color consistency, registration and durability these days?

Correct way to perform calibrations? (Xerox V180 + EFI Fiery + CWS)

Why are you not making your own profile. That way everything can be done after making sure your machine is setup correctly in regards to drum quality and uniform density. Only then start the Calibration G7 process and then proceed to the profile making on the specific paper you want to use. And...

KM C3080 vs VERSANT 180 vs RICOH 7200 vs CANON C910 vs KM C83HC

Is anybody out there running the Konica Minolta’s C83hc? I have seen proofs and for what I do the high Chroma would be great but I would like to ask some questions about the durability of it or like build of KM machines.

versant 80 error 099-341 Fusing Not Latch Up

Check this out. Error Code versant 80 error 099-341 Fusing Not Latch Up Also check that the belt is not run off to far to the side. If so run it back towards the middle. This happens on the 2100 and 3100 occasionally but I can't remember the error code.

    Color Registration

Have the MOB sensors been cleaned? Those are the ones under the left side of the drum developer housing drawer.

Looking to buy print estimating software.

I know you can access it over the network, but it must be run in Windows. I have it installed on one of our RIPs and the Macs can access it with a virtual machine running Windows. Not ideal but it works. It can not run as a server so only one person at a time can access it. Accessing it remotely...

XEROX VERSANT V180 TONER ADHESION PROBLEM

The problem I think is if you run Uniform Density on top of Previous UD Setting without going back to the Factory Default some how it creates to much Density. Thats what I saw with the 2100 and 3100 printers. Just run your Uniform Density and set it back to factory default. You should not need...

XEROX VERSANT V180 TONER ADHESION PROBLEM

Looks like maybe the toner density has gotten too high. When you do the routine for Uniform Density choose set for to factory default. I have seen this happen on the 2100 and 3100 where somehow the toner density gets too high if one does not set it back to factory default before doing the...

    Ricoh C9200+C7200 v Xerox Iridesse

I know what you are talking about but I only ever see it on 80# text weight and less paper. The sample I posted is 120# Cover and is inboard to outboard banding. What your talking about is lead edge to trail edge banding. I have raised that issue with this belt. I made them change the fan and...

    Ricoh C9200+C7200 v Xerox Iridesse

I am sure the salesman wanted his commission. If Xerox wanted me out of the 3100 I do not know. Anyway it is obviously the pencil pushers have no clue about the real world. Try to save money by making cheap crappy parts sure doesn't save money when we have to replace drums so frequently. My...

    Ricoh C9200+C7200 v Xerox Iridesse

And the RIP specs on the 4100 is better than the Iridesse. Probably another reason they are trying to unload the Iridesse.

    Ricoh C9200+C7200 v Xerox Iridesse

So Xerox is trying to unload/move Iridesse so they make me an offer even though I am barely over 24 month of 72. On months with higher volume the cost would be less than the 3100. So I am thinking I should at least look at everything. I have samples from Ricoh, Minolta, and the Iridesse. Ricoh...

    Ricoh C9200+C7200 v Xerox Iridesse

Actually that banding is mainly developer housing with that frequency of occurrence. Having to replace them so often is the real pain with this machine and the drums have been terrible lately which makes one wonder if they are a contributing factor in developer housing failures. But what is...
