it's the finishing processes that really take the most setting up, as sheets through the press are quite straightforward.
Good luck with your setup, the most important advice I can give you is to keep ALL staff informed and involved in the Process
Cheers

We are looking to go live mid March at this stage, the setup involved depends on the complexity of your shop, we have 1 offset press (down from 3 a few years ago), 2 digital presses and as with most shops, a comprehensive rage of finishing equipment from spiral binders through to Horizon...
They have purchased the XMPie/Ustore integration but not the Prinergy integration. We have Prinergy Connect with APA, RBA and Insite, so it would seem to me that Prinergy integration should be included so we can leverage the power of RBA, but the folks at Xerox seem to have convinced them that...
Hi thec0wboy,
We are currently in the process of commissioning Print IQ
I haven't been very involved in the process, and there are some areas where I believe management have made decisions based on advice from PrintIQ sales rather than discussing with the people at the coal face. The setup is...
You will need to provide a bit more information. Expected volumes, 17" 22" or both, single width or double width, spot colour or process colour printing, single part or multi part forms. The field is so vast you need to narrow it down. Saying that, I would start your search with Didde Glaser and...
Option 1: Find a supplier with a Scodix system, print the jobs yourself and outsource the raised print to them as a raised Scodix UV varnish
Option 2: Outsource the raised print to a screen printer as raised UV varnish
Option 3: (Long term solution) Invest in Scodix or similar.

I'm not dealing with the $ in this case, I'm just a user and provide the technical IT knowledge.
I did see the numbers but I don't remember them, I do know we decided on the subscription model rather than outright purchase.
The pricing depends on which modules you license. We have included the...
Are you sure the impression cylinder is worn, even on a 25 year old press it would be unlikely, the bearers may have some wear, but not the cylinder itself.
It is more likely that the blankets are a different thickness than you have used previously and need extra packing.
It's only in the past few years that customer supplied PDFs have been the standard, before that it was standard practice for the customer/designer to provide Quark Xpress/Indesign/Pagemaker files together with all supporting files and fonts. In some workflows, it was not possible to produce a...

Unless it was a large print run the printed sections would have been folded, collated and sewn on machines. The mull on the spine would be glued on by hand, the case boards cut to size on a guillotine, the Baladek cloth would be applied to the case boards by hand and gold foiled on a platen...
I'm not sure if the Low disk space errors are being parsed from the Windows notifications or if Prinergy monitors the disks itself, you can try turning off the Windows notifications and see if that is reflected in Prinergy:
Open the Registry Editor by clicking on Start -> Run and running...
Typically there are 3 bolts on the Non-Op side of the backgauge. 2 out the sides and 1 out the top. The 2 on the sides are the ones you want. There is typically a nut that locks these bolts in place. Unlock these nuts while holding the bolts from turning I believe the Polars use a 5mm Hex wrench...
