Have not had that experience at all. Quick phone call to canon and I've gotten excellent technical help within minutes. Printheads easy to swap, not sure what other maintenance might be so hard, or what restrictive means.

Latest update is they'll have full 4100 support shortly, and hopefully have any M1 bugs worked out.

There's finally some new information...it's not just me. Other people using M1 machines are having the same problem. They're working on it, hopefully they'll release an update soon fixing the M1 bug and perhaps including full 4100 support.

Interesting, I wasn't familiar with Onyx Go. ONYX Go Plus looks like it might do anything I'd need. I can't tell though, would you need Onyx ColorCheck to certify to standards, or is that part of Onyx?

Would you say device link profiles are only useful for those doing CMYK proofing? I have a Canon 4100. I use it to print photography/fine-art, but want to also be able to do proofing, make my own profiles etc. Struggling a bit with figuring out what RIP or layout type program to get for OSX...

AND.....after all that, apparently PrintFactory doesn't support the 4100 yet, just the 4100s. They support the 4000 and the 4100s. Looking at ImagePrint Black again as well now.

GMG no longer owns/runs Printfactory fwiw. I think I understand what you're saying, but don't think it's relevant to my intended usage, which is just using device link profiles to print to a 12-color inkjet (Canon).
